Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also head of the Center for Public Policy Research. It is believed that she was the one responsible as the pioneer of modern studies of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and children as witnesses. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with numerous research publications as well as numerous grants and is the recipient of a variety of international and national prizes. She has worked with various organizations and government officials across the globe on policy and research concerning children as victims within the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of several professional associations which include that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She is a founding member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division as well as three divisions of the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
